Maybe I like the idea of Building (I even wrote in my datebook one day: "be a builder." But most of the work is collage work of sorts incorporating asphalt siding which characterizes particular neighborhoods and is an unlikely art material. The fauxness of the material prompted me to draw blocks to create perverted perspective. I had used blocks (actually painted like cubes or containers) as a motif almost 10 years earlier as an analog for "products." Later my "Workgloves" became building blocks for installations. I could use them as modules to shape space.
